Michal Urbaniak

Composer & Arranger, Michal Urbaniak is one of the founder's of Fusion in the 70's and Acid Jazz of the 90's. There are symphonic works & film music for 15 full feature soundtracks to his credit and he has recorded over 50 albums in the U.S.A. He came to the U.S. in 1973 from Europe to New York after winning the Grand Prix at Montreaux Jazz Festival for best soloist. Michal Urbaniak studied in Moscow with the famous David Ojstrach. He is a repeated winner of Down Beat Magazine's Reader's Poll's Best Violin Player and in the top 10 as Musician of the Year, Record of the year, Composer, Arranger, Electric Group of the year and the Misc. Instruments for the Lyricon. He toured around the globe playing at most of the jazz festivals and an extensive list of clubs and made many television appearances worldwide including on the world famous Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show" three times. Wolfgang Lackerschmid

As Europes leading vibraphonist, Wolfgang Lackerschmid belongs to the important creators in Jazz and beyond. Since the middle seventies, he performes live and on more than 100 records, with legendary musicians like Chet Baker, Attila Zoller, Lee Konitz, Larry Coryell, Buster Williams, Paquito D´Rivera or the "Vibraphon Summit". Wolfgang Lackerschmid studied composition and percussion, and composed numerous songs and Jazz - tunes, which became part of the regular repertoire by many musicians. Besides that, he wrote also concert - music for orchestra, choir, percussionensemble and many other formations, as well as music for TV, radio and film. Frequently he works for several european Theaters as composer of music for plays, musicals and balletts. 1990 he received the cultural award „Bayerischer Staatsförderpreis für Kultur“ from the state Bavaria. Besides all those activities, you‘ll always find him touring with some excellend live - projects.

John Lee

From 1984 to 1992, John served as Dizzy's bassist, playing in the small groups, Dizzy's 70th Anniversary Big Band and the United Nation Orchestra. A composer, producer and teacher, John has played in the bands of Sonny Rollins, Max Roach, McCoy Tyner, Larry Coryell, Joe Henderson, and is currently a member of the Fantasy Band. Other credits include appearances with Milt Jackson, Gil Evans, Jon Faddis, Jimmy Heath, Freddie Hubbard, Claudio Roditi, Chuck Loeb, Wolfgang Lackerschmid, Marilyn Mazur, Paquito D'Rivera, Hendrik Meurkens. Karl Latham

Karl Latham was born in Trenton, New Jersey and grew up in a musical family. Inspired by his brother Rick, Karl started playing the drums at the age of 7. As a youth, Karl won many Regional and Statewide musical competitions. Karl has performed with a wide spectrum of notable performers such as The Fantasy Band (including Dave Samuels, Chuck Loeb, Marion Meadows, George Jinda, John Lee, Dave Valentin, Larry Coryell, Roy Ayers, Victor Bailey), Johnny and Edgar Winter, Wolfgang Lackerschmid, Michal Urbaniak, Bob Malach, Jasper Van't Hof, Attila Zoller, Ed Cherry, Cameron Brown, Georg Wadenius, Ronnell Bey, Charlie Elgart, the Shirelles.
